Teresa Murray
Tell me about yourself.
I am a 56 year old mom of 5 (2 which are in heaven) grandma to 3 precious girls. And I have a great man back in my life after dating 30 plus years ago, going our separate ways and finding our way back to each other one day a couple years back..
I enjoy driving backroads looking for old barns, photography, I have a passion for saving our American Mustangs, I love music from almost every genre, Native American music is a real favorite, Prince will always be my all time most memorable artist. I am owned by my chihuahua Clyde! LOL Anyone that knows me would understand that comment!
I recently found myself in a position where I had to retire due to health issues that came up. I have been abused from childhood on from some of the people I should have been able to trust the most! My mother, my maternal grandfather, my ex-husband (even had a plan to do away with me!) That abuse very possibly is linked to some of the issues medically I battle today they tell me. So please if you are in any type of an abusive situation please reach out to someone for help! I have lived through so much and often wonder why God has chosen me to go on but then I'll meet a stranger that needs a hand up through encouragement or a smile or simply someone that knows what they're going through that's not judging them because they're down on their luck and I think then this must be why! So always remember kindness from a total stranger can seriously change a person's day maybe even their life.
How has your photo shoot experience shaped how you view yourself?
It certainly helped with my confidence. I was shocked at how comfortable I became in front of the camera and I sincerely needed a boost!
What message would you like to give other women that are going through a difficult time in life and might not feel worthy?
Ladies---- YOU ARE ENOUGH! GET OUT THERE AND AND SHOW THE WORLD YOU ARE YOUR OWN QUEEN!
What advice would you give your younger self?
Go ahead and chase those dreams and make them come true. Don't waste so much of my life looking after some other adult.
What would you tell other women about stepping out of their comfort zone and doing a photo shoot?
Do it! You will end up loving your photos!
