Tell me about yourself.
I am a mother of two, a wife, and am an early childhood educator. I’ve always strived to help make others happy and never took the time to find what makes me happy. The pressure of perfection has always been a struggle. As I’ve grown into who I am today, I’ve learned my worth does not depend on others, but myself.
How has your photo shoot experience shaped how you view yourself?
It really made me feel so confident and comfortable. It brought out a confidence that I didn’t know I had.
What message would you like to give other women that are going through a difficult time in life and might not feel worthy?
It’s okay, it does get better, find things that make you happy. The process of feeling worthy and that you are enough doesn’t come over night. It’s definitely a learning process, you’ll have to dig into deep emotions to get to where you can heal and accept who you are and your worth.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t always strive for the acceptance of others, they shouldn’t control how you feel about yourself.
What would you tell other women about stepping out of their comfort zone and doing a photo shoot?
It’s not as hard as it seems. Take the leap and try something different, you may just surprise yourself and grow from that experience.
