Tell me about yourself and how you feel about being a woman over the age of 40.
I am a wife, a mom, a sister, an aunt, a friend but most importantly a child of God. I feel abundantly blessed to be 49. Age is a gift, a gift of perspective, a gift of confidence, a gift of purpose. I feel more at peace with who I am now than at any other point in my life.
When do you feel most confident?
Confidence is something I have struggled with most of my life. But I have found that with each trip around the sun, I gain a little more confidence. So instead of dreading birthdays as "getting older", I look forward to gaining a little more confidence.
What advice would you give your younger self?
If I could travel back in time and give my younger self advice, I would say "be kinder to yourself" and "always know your worth".
What would you tell other mature women about stepping out of their comfort zone and doing a photo shoot?
No matter your age, the most wonderful gift you can give yourself is the gift of confidence. You may not feel confident right now, but I can promise you that doing a photo shoot with Kelsey will be the most amazing experience. Kelsey makes the whole process easy and so much fun. You will love the outcome but the process, the experience will change you. I only regret that I did not do this sooner!
